Summer Garden Party

The American Saddlebred Museum invites you to join us for the opening celebration of our new Heritage Garden, a reenvisioned space by renowned designer Jon Carloftis to honor the past, present, and future of the American Saddlebred and the passionate enthusiasts of our incredible breed. The afternoon will be hosted by Carson Kressley (RuPaul's Drag Race, Queer Eye) and feature a ribbon cutting for the new garden, book signing with Jon Carloftis, fashion show and pop-up shops from Carl Meyers, Stuart Mercer Gentleman's Shoppe, Hats by Katie, The Fetzer Face, and Freedman's, lunch, bourbon tasting by Bardstown Bourbon, wines by Leatherwood, and mocktails by Bar Diver.

The American Saddlebred Museum, in partnership with Tommy Lovell, is proud to announce a unique opportunity to bid on a one-of-a-kind, heirloom quality American Saddlebred rocking horse representing one of the most famous American Saddlebred horses of the twenty-first century. This custom creation is hand carved to resemble CHThe Daily Lottery and includes his actual tail hair as part of his forelock. This gorgeous rocking horse was handcrafted by Tom Lovell at his studio in North Carolina. This horse is solid wood with a leather saddle seat saddle and bridle with chrome bit and stirrups.  This rideable rocking horse is highly collectible and is accompanied by a certificate of Authenticity signed by artist Tommy Lovell.  CHThe Daily Lottery was foaled May 2, 2004, out of Callaway’s Lady Lottery by Sultan’s Great Day. He was born at Penny Lane Farm, Boaz, Kentucky.  Known as Dan, this gelding holds 17 career world’s titles. In fact, he has won the Louisville championships in the Open, Junior, Amateur, and Junior Exhibitor divisions and is a six-time World’s Champion of Champions. Other accolades include being named ASHA Horse of the Year in 2020 and he was nominated as a 2019 USEF National Horse of Honor.

Five guests can experience up to five days in this charming two-bedroom, one-bath bungalow in historic Carson City, Nevada.  Centrally located, Carson City is the state capitol with lots of family friendly activities. This home is in an area walkable to downtown Carson City, perfect for experiencing the city like a local. Only 20 minutes from Lake Tahoe for winter skiing or summer hiking and 20 minutes from Reno “the biggest little city in the world”.  This trip can offer something for everyone!
