No, the Museum is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

What are the Museum's hours of operations?

How much does admission cost?

Please visit our Plan Your Visit page for the most up-to-date ticket prices. Admission includes the entire Kentucky Horse Park.

Is there a Museum shop where visitors can purchase souvenirs or gifts?

Yes, the gift shop is just inside the main entrance. You can also shop online at shop.asbmuseum.org.

Is photography allowed inside the Museum?

Of course! Please tag us @asbmuseum or #asbmuseum.

Is the Museum wheelchair accessible?

Yes, there is a ramp to the main entrance and the interior of the Museum is flat. There is also a courtesy wheelchair available. Please visit our listing on Wheel the World for more information.

Is there a café or restaurant on-site?

No, however the Trolley Stop Café is just a 5 minute walk away. This new grab & go café is located next to the Mounted Police Office and open from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

How long does it typically take to go through the entire Museum?

While this varies and depends on the visitor, on average you should expect 1-2 hours.

Can I book the Museum for private events or weddings?

Yes! The Museum is available for a wide array of meeting and event rentals. Please visit our Private Events page for more information.

Is there a research library on-site that can be accessed by the public?

Yes, members may schedule time to browse the Museum library and perform research. Please visit our Library page for more information.

Can the Museum perform research for me?

Yes, our staff is available to perform research. The rate for this service is $100/hour.

How can I support the Museum through donations or volunteer work?

To volunteer at the Museum or during one of our events, please visit the Volunteers page.

Donations can be made in a number of ways. You can become a member, make a donation to our Annual Fund, make an honorary or memorial donation, purchase a brick on the Saddlebred Sidewalk to honor a horse, or honor an individual on the Roll of Honor.
