Library Project is Completed

May 2, 2023

The American Saddlebred Museum is very excited to present its library as a newly organized resource to the American Saddlebred community. Through a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the Museum has finalized a full inventory of the Library collection and created an online catalog of the books, magazines and other library resources. This catalog is searchable on the ASM website at asbmuseum.org/resources/library.

The Museum’s library houses one of the largest collections of American Saddlebred books, periodicals, and audio-visual materials. With over 5,000 items, the American Saddlebred Museum library covers a wide range of topics—including American Saddlebred History, equine art, Bluegrass history, Civil War history, training and riding guides, veterinary medicine, and horse show programs, and industry magazines.

Museum members are welcome to schedule an appointment to use the library by calling 859-259-2746 ext. 344
