Applications Now Open for the 2026 Keith Bartz Impact Scholarship Award

November 18, 2025

The American Saddlebred Museum is now accepting applications for the 2026 Keith Bartz Impact Scholarship Award, which recognizes a young individual who demonstrates dedication to the American Saddlebred breed and excellence in their community.

Former Museum Executive Director Keith Bartz devoted his time, talent, and resources to building the American Saddlebred Museum and celebrating the American Saddlebred horse. His leadership and commitment to excellence helped shape the Museum into the respected institution it is today. In his honor, the Museum established the Keith Bartz Impact Scholarship Award, which provides $1,500 to one deserving recipient each year.

The award celebrates individuals twenty-one years of age or younger who show substantial involvement with American Saddlebreds and their local communities. Eligible applicants include high school seniors or students enrolled in two- or four-year programs at a college, university, or trade school.

Applicants must submit a brief essay—no more than two pages—describing their impact at school, home, barn, and in the community. Nominations may be self-submitted or made by someone who can attest to the nominee’s character and accomplishments.

Applications are due December 1, 2025, and should be submitted via email to museum@asbmuseum.org.

The Keith Bartz Impact Scholarship Award continues the legacy of a leader who exemplified service, vision, and a lifelong passion for the American Saddlebred.
