American Saddlebred Museum Announces Aubrey Kufeldt as 2026 Keith Bartz Impact Scholarship Recipient

January 24, 2026

American Saddlebred Museum is proud to announce Aubrey Kufeldt of Olathe, Kansas, as the recipient of the 2026 Keith Bartz Impact Scholarship Award. The $1,500 scholarship recognizes a young individual who exemplifies a commitment to the American Saddlebred and demonstrates excellence within their community.

The Keith Bartz Impact Scholarship Award honors the legacy of former Museum Executive Director Keith Bartz, whose dedication, leadership, and tireless efforts helped shape the American Saddlebred Museum into the institution it is today. The award is presented annually to an individual who reflects the same character, work ethic, and service to the breed and the broader community.

A senior at Olathe West High School, Kufeldt will attend the University of Kansas, where she plans to pursue a degree in atmospheric science and meteorology with a minor in broadcast journalism. She has been actively involved in school leadership and service organizations, including the National Honor Society, Student Council, and varsity cheerleading, where she serves as head captain.

Within the American Saddlebred community, Kufeldt has more than a decade of involvement and is a third-generation exhibitor at the American Royal Horse Show. Her commitment to service is reflected in her extensive participation in UPHA Ribbons of Service, where she achieved Diamond-level recognition, raising more than $3,500 and completing over 80 hours of community service in a single year. She was recognized as the program’s top fundraiser and service contributor nationwide that year.

Kufeldt has also served as an ambassador for the American Royal through its Agvocates program, educating youth and community groups about agriculture, horsemanship, and the American Saddlebred breed. In addition, she is a member of BOTAR (Bells of the American Royal), a women’s leadership and philanthropic organization supporting agricultural education and outreach.

Through her dedication to education, philanthropy, and the American Saddlebred, Aubrey Kufeldt exemplifies the values celebrated by the Keith Bartz Impact Scholarship Award.
