Bronze. Signed and Dated with foundry stamp. 9” T x 8” L. Gorham. Commissioned in 1925 by Loula Long Combs, owner of Longview Farm, in honor of her favorite horse and the namesake of her autobiography My Revelation. Revelation was sired by a Standardbred but showed in Hackney harness classes from 1910 to 1925, winning nearly 70 blue ribbons for Miss Loula and her trainer Dave Smith. At the age of 29, Revelation made a special appearance at the American Royal Show. He died one month later and is buried in front of Longview Stables under a monument designed by this piece’s creator, Joseph Krstolich. A rare opportunity to own a true piece of show horse history.
