You're Invited to Celebrate the Museum's 50th Anniversary

The Museum will kick off its 50th year with a tribute exhibit entitled Where Were You In '62? Saddlebreds, the Museum & the Sixties and you're on the guest list! You'll want to be there when the doors open at 6:30 p.m. on Friday February 17, 2012 (during ASHA's Annual Convention) at the Showplace for Saddlebreds. Relive the Sixties with the 2012 Special Exhibit

As of January 31, 2012, the Museum will have been in existence for 50 years. Our 2012 special exhibit Where Were You In '62? Saddlebreds, the Museum & the Sixties, will celebrate this milestone event. The exhibit will feature the stories of the three World's Grand Champions of 1962 (^CHDenmark's Daydream, ^CHBelle Of The Dell and ^CHColonel Boyle), as well as some of the first gifts to the collection. Kentucky State Fair Dance Party

Each Wednesday, after the evening performance of the WCHS, the Museum transforms the Horseman's Café into a themed dance hall, puts out a dinner spread and invites all horse show exhibitors to attend a party! The event is a mid-week break from the show ring where exhibitors can join their horse show friends and relieve some stress and tension. Read more ›
